Encouragement for the Weary and Troubled SoulPosted by Clarissa Wei in Untagged |
Pray and read the bible. Rely on God. Do not worry about tomorrow. He will not give you burdens you cannot carry. Have faith in God.
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and comeand pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you:
Many times tribulations seem only capable of damage. The “Why me?” mentality springs up and the emotional pain seems to be proof that God does not care about our well being. But we fail to realize that God does not want to harm us. In fact, he wants to prosper us. Trials are simply a stepping stone to prosperity. They mold us, they shape us, and they ultimately make us into the Christian God wants us to be.
Plans to give you a hope and a future
Hope. Hope is a feeling that things will turn out for the best. Hope is the light at the end of the dark tunnel. But without the dark tunnel, the light would mean nothing. We would spend our lives in oblivion and not realize the extent of God’s love and glory without worries and trials. Future. Like our parents, God cares about our future and wants us to be happy. And of course with love comes discipline and with discipline comes happiness.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Then you will call upon me. Emphasis on the word then. After we have realized that that God does not intend to harm us and that he has plans to prosper us, to give us a hope and a future—then we can call upon him. Then he will listen to us. Then will we find Him when we seek Him will all our heart.
Then we will find the comfort we have been looking for.
