Do everything in love... 1 cor 16:14Posted by Sue in Untagged |
There is a passage in the bible where it shows how one little verse can show you that life is meant to be lived for the purpose of glorifying God, just as Christ had lived on his time here on earth.
Love, as directed by our forefathers before us, proclaimed by the lips of Christ, is the ultimate command that God wants of us to fully understand, comprehend, exercise, and embody. It is the only way of the cross and all that it signifies and ultimately, loving another person more than you love yourself, that is the act of surrendering all that is inside of you and all that you are- is the greatest example in form and perfect definition of what Christians must comply to in order to become complete in Christ.
How then does one truly love another, as Christ loves you? It is not in the physical, emotional, monetary, or relational means that the world describes love to be. All of this is superficial. What matters is God's love for us. That even before time began, he poured out his love to us, through the redeeming grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Proof in writing? One place is found here: 1 John chapters 3 and 4 testify this plainly. That God is love, and because God loved us so much, he sent Jesus to die in place of our sins, so that we may stand righteous before him, and through the love placed through Jesus and his example of love for us, even death on a tree, we are able to commune with God and know God in a personal and real way. How great and marvelous are thy works O God Almighty!!!
We are such a blessed nation, to have the many blessings and freedoms that many countries would die for, and yet, in our lavishness, our minds are fooled by the devils scheme to manipulate how we should act, think, and reply to daily living situations in our abrupt and unimportant life. What matters not is what we do, but how we do it. If you are called to love in a capacity to show kindness, or compassion, or encouragement, we should do it. To give like you've never given, to share like you've never shared, to enjoy the hardships and turmoils because all those moments of heartache and dross are but temporary! What matters more is that your treasure is stored in heaven, and there will be an eternity of rejoicing and enjoyment afterward! (Our treasure is found in the worshiping of our Lord, praising, loving, and exalting Him! )
For some, loving means, to close your eyes to your hardships you face, and trust boldly with all you carry inside you, your life committed to obeying Jesus 100 percent, and not 60, 70, 80, or 90 %. When the world looks at your choices you've made, and they gawk at what you've chosen as "idiocy" for complying to what Jesus' standards and expectations of what He wants of you. Such faith takes great courage, hope, and love. Doing things that are extremely difficult, when it imposes on you, of your time, effort, energies, and hard work, are tangible things Christ compels us to do out of love.
God loves a cheerful giver, but how much harder is it to please God if doing those absurd challenges completely make no sense in the world's viewpoint? Take courage and take heart my friends! Do not worry about today and tomorrow! Those whom he has called listen to his voice because we love him. It is out of our obedience to him that we do such things! They say the road to heaven is straight and narrow! I totally say it ought to be! I welcome the challenges in my life! Even though life seems completely overwhelming, completely strenuous, over bearing, maddening, and out of control, I take joy in the knowing, it is moments such as these that I find myself on my knees, in prayer, in hope, and in joy because I know God is there to pull me through. Through all of our hardships we face, academic, familial, relational, emotional, spiritual, etc etc, God never gives us anything we are not yet ready for.
There is purpose behind every occassion in your life. There is a definite lesson to be learned for every person in every circumstance they face. Perhaps God is using this moment to speak to you? Are you listening? If you hear his voice in your head telling you something, were you just ignoring it because you think it will go away eventually?! God loves you! Jesus Loves you! He died to save you and wants you to know just how special you are! I know that even though I do not know you, I pray for you! You are the nameless shapeless space that I identify my "brain" with.
Even though there is a definite knowing that my brain is of proof, that is, a substance being a physical, identifiable matter, inside my brain, is an endless universe that is controlled by the highway to my heart. There may be many dips and turns that lead to my tiny brain universe inside, but at the end of all roads, leads to the knowing, Jesus is real, God is real, and Jesus is everything because he loved me first and died to save me. Take heart and courage my friends. Today is yet another day to prove to our Lord our love to Him... and because his love for us can be renewed daily, our multitude of wrongdoings and inadequacies are covered by our faith, trust, and hope in Jesus because he died to save us.
Answer and comply, always know, you have a sister here rooting for you in prayer for whatever hardship you face. God is with us in Spirit and Truth. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding! May it be done according to your will and not ours Lord. Jesus be glorified through and through~~ Amen!
PS. don't forget to pray for our missionaries. They need our support! =)
For another moment of bustling bubblings tomorrow, Take Care, God Bless you Today and Always.
