A thousand generations
I was reading through Deut. this morning, and had a great awakening, something which had provoked curiosity, and then at last, a great revelation.
"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands." Deut. 7: 9
also read verses 12-15. ...
My afterthoughts?
I am so thankful, for this week. For showing me my greatest weaknesses, and in a blink, having the ability to show me, my life is not my own, but belonging to Him who controls everything, and sees and hears everything...
I am so thankful that I have made it through the fiery furnace of waddling through another long week, especially with back to school mania, and hopes of having dreams dashed by our mortal and spiritual enemy, (seriously, all those thoughts of doubt and disbelief, you don't think you just came up with them do you?), to repentance for doubting, to shouts of praise and adoration for a week well lived (so far...). God is definitely good, all the time.
Tto see at the end of the day, that God in his utmost care, cherishes you, loves you, with every ounce of his heart, so much that even his only son, died for your sake. So, with all of that, to rely on sweet words as a thousand generations, gives promise that all things regarding our future belongs to God, no matter how vile, or completely and utterly foolish things might appear for the moment. For with whatever you hold in your heart, to that very measure, God will use it to show you, things that go beyond the normal realm of pleasures, contentment, and joy. These things we experience first hand, are only a fraction of what kinds of good things God has in store for us as his children. So then, if we are to be called Sons and Daughters, how much more shall we obtain, if the stain of Christ's blood remains on us forever? It is through our lowest and highest peaks that we are able to taste the goodness of the Lord. He remains faithful always...
It is forever and with out fail.
Be blessed today, and always. Seek God in all that you do, in every thing that you face, no matter how great or small. He is there holding your hand.
With great affection and joy in Christ
Me.
