If you’re sick and tired of the rubbery and fake taste of Domino’s and Pizza Hut’s mass produced dough they call pizza, you should do yourself a favor and drive to 3rd and Larchmont. You will find the small pizzeria named Village where the kitchen is always cooking and the workers are running.
Surprisingly enough, the great taste of Village Pizzeria comes from the simple things, such as real tomato sauce, real vegetables, real meat, and hand-made dough. Some of fan favorites are cheese pizza, margarita, neopolitan, and mushroom & sausage pizzas. Another treat of the place is their crust. It is thin yet chewy enough to have flavor. Other dishes such as spaghetti, bread rolls, and calzones are adequately priced and flavorful enough as well.
The place itself seems crowded thanks to its New York-style setting and
it is always packed with people. Celebrities drop by from time to time
so have your camera ready if you’re easily star-struck. The price is
adequate although one can argue why a slice of pizza would cost around
$2. However, one should know that a slice of their pizza trumps most
pizza places’ slice.
Village Pizzeria isn’t certainly for everyone. If you don’t like real tasting pizza with flavor, I suggest you stay away.
