On the last Friday of every month, All Nations Church in Sunland hosts a praise night known as "MP3 Night." Not to be confused with it's acronym (many of whom assume that it's simply referring to MP3 song tracks), "MP3" stands for "monthly power of praise and prayer."
Each month, a different praise band of a specific age group (ranging anywhere from high school to post college graduation) leads praise intertwined with intense prayer topics. Apart from the stress and chaos of normal school or work week, the long praise and prayer time allows an intimate encounter with God alongside fellow Christians. This month, Pastor Young Won Lee spoke on the importance of giving all glory and thanks to God in the midst of trials or joy. Youth from as young as the 6th grade all the way up to post college graduates filled the room. The message addressed the simple love that Christ offers--regardless of age or spiritual maturity. The night was a reminder of the basic message of the Gospel that is so often forgotten, which is the simple unfailing Love of God for all. [The next MP3 will be held on December 18, 2009 at 10000 Foothill Blvd Lake View Terrace, CA 91342] The praise band plays both before and after the message with songs of thanksgiving and celebration to God. Pastor Young Won Lee delivers his sermon on giving thanks with lightheartedjokes to keep the topic open to all listeners; regardless of their age or spiritual maturity. MP3's genuine worship session allows hearts to come before the Lord and encourages prayer for oneself and others around them. photos by : Gina Choi
