Creative Juice Night 2009

Come join us for a fun night to watch youth from the LA and OC area compete to win in song and dance. Stick around for our guest performances by Jennifer Chung- YouTube sensation, Paul Kim from America Idol's Season 6 and indie music artist Mia Kim!

WHAT: Competition and performances from guest judges
Jennifer Chung || Team Millennia 7 || Mia Kim || (guest judge only) Comedian Anjelah Johnson *new addition! || Paul "PK" Kim from American Idol's Season 6! *new addition!

WHY:

  • To give youth and college students the opportunity to perform and share their talents for God, the churches, and their friends
  • Tape this event to air online
  • To fundraise for KAC Media’s programs equipment, translation department, and new staff.
  • WHEN: Saturday, July 11, 2009 @ 7pm

    WHERE: LA Hope and Olympic Presbyterian Church
    1700 West Olympic Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90015

    WHO: For all ages. Limited to 400 seats.

    Competition specifications
    Q: Who can compete?
    A: Groups and/or bands of all ages (solo performers welcomed with back-up band). Limit FIVE people in a group per entry (due to space)

    Q: Is there a fee to compete?
    A: Yes, the following are the entry fees:

    • Entry for one category (music or dance) $40
    • Each additional category $10 (limit 2 entries per group)

    Q: How is the competition judged?
    A: 1. Creativity 2. Originality 3. Performanc 4. Skill; Our judges (Jennifer Chung, Team Millennia 7, and Mia Kim) will judge according to those criteria for each category (there is only one grand prize winner per category).

    Q: What is the registration cut off date?
    A: All registration will end on JUNE 19 (Friday). SO REGISTER NOW!

    Q: What are the prizes for the winners?
    A: The prizes for the winners in both categories include a Trophy, a Music or Dance Video produced by our KAC Media staff, and a $50 Cash Prize!!

    Q: What are the stage dimensions?
    A: The stage is a trapezoid shape (meaning, an-almost rectangle with a longer stage back), measuring 20.8’ (from front to back) x 13.9’ (from side to side) at the longest. The front tapers to a mere 8’, while the back extends up to 32.5’. See image below for a visual.

    Q: How much time do we get on stage?
    A: 3 minutes on stage. 5 minutes to set-up

    Q: Can I use the flyer/poster in my own church/campus to promote the event?
    A: Yes, contact Susanna to receive a PDF form of the flyer and/or poster.

    To get a booth/to be a sponsor
    Q: Why would I want to get a booth at the event?
    A: A booth allows exposure to the youth community in the LA and OC area—ranging in ages of junior high to late 20s.

    Q: How do I get a booth for the event?
    A: You can become a one-time sponsor specifically for our event. This allows you a booth space on location at the time of the event. 

    Q: How do I get exposure without purchasing a booth?
    A: You can donate your merchandise/product to our raffle for the event.

    Q: What if I just want to donate to the event without attending?
    A: We now have an option of being a ticket sponsor. Your donation will go toward purchasing Creative Juice tickets so that at-risk youth in the community can attend.
