Torn by war, with no proof of life. Every family has a story.
An estimated 100,000 Korean Americans have immediate
family members in North Korea, divided during the Korean War. Every day that
passes, more divided family members pass away without having seen their
families. In the next 10-15 years, the stories of the divided family members
will be lost forever. The Divided Families Film project has a threefold goal:
1. Document the story of first generation divided
family members.
2. Raise awareness in our communities.
3. Mobilize support for formal mechanisms of family
reunions.
With these lofty goals, DDF is hosting a Los Angeles
