Living Hope Community Church, located in Rowland Heights, CA began in 1993 with the aim of creating "a church to call home" for 1.5, 2nd, and 3rd generation Korean-Americans. Living Hope also exists to include the unchurched, the previously churched, and the surrounding East San Gabriel Valley, North Orange County and Inland Empire multi-ethnic communities. There are families who come from as far away as Valencia, Loma Linda and Aliso Viejo.
Pastor Steve Chang, Living Hope's founder is the Senior Pastor to this day and Living Hope's staff of 20 includes Associate Pastor, Leadership Team, Directors of Student Ministries, Deacons, Event Coordinators as well as staff in the areas of Children's Ministries, Creative Worship, Hospitality, Missions, Membership, Cell Groups, and Teaching.
Living Hope Community Church highly values worship, Biblical truth, community, and reaching the world with Christ's message. These values weave across the church from its Precious Lambs group (0-3) all the way to its Homebuilders group (families). It is said that "It's not uncommon to meet many people who have come to the church as a college student and are now married with kids."
Living Hope provides step-by-step guidance for the membership process as well as 'Foundations' classes for an in-depth look at being a Christian. While living in an online generation, the Living Hope website provides a photo gallery, audio sermons, and a monthly online newsletter called "The Anvil" that includes information, inspiration, and colorful pages of news relating to the various ministries happening on a daily and weekly basis.
