In 2001, we were hit by a fast and furious (pun-intended) film called the Fast and the Furious which starred robotic eye-candy Paul Walker and hardest bald male walking around the planet, Vin Diesel. Nearly a decade later the original, the series continues on fast and furiously with the current one but obviously if you’re looking for a serious film with a strong plot, smart writing, and heart-felt performances by the cast, you should definitely look somewhere else.
For many, Street Fighter is a childhood favorite
arcade-game. The sheer joy of beating the other opponent with combinations of
Right and left arrow pushed together with the punch button always rewarded the
players with the coveted “AHHHDOOOGEN”. Many had expectations of a reboot of
the Street Fight film, could it
possibly be better than Jean Claude Van Demme as Guile while he fought the late
Robert Julia in an electrifying (pun-intended) battle? Sadly, the expectations
should be very low for the reboot.
With all the infatuation with the blood sucking creatures the past couple of months (thanks to the horrendous Twilight), it is hard not to wonder the appeal of these ridiculously pale and sharp teethed creatures. From the master classic of Nosferatu to Eddie Murphy’s horrendous portrayal of Vampire in Brooklyn, the society’s always been interested with vampires.
Based on the acclaimed graphic novel (not a comic book, but a GRAPHIC NOVEL), Watchmen revolves around an alternative 1980s in the United States. Being a superhero has become outlawed and the last stand of superheroes, also known as the Watchmen, have turned in their capes. Some of them have become public with their identity, while others have eased into being a regular citizen. And still, some lurk around the dark—being a vigilante.
Al Pacino is in negotiations to star as King Herod in the new film
"Mary, Mother of Christ" Unlike the traditional Nativity story, this
project is described as a female empowerment movie that explores Mary's
youth, young love, her new life as a mother, and the triumph over King
Herod's horrendous reign.
