The box office has been struggling as of late but showed signs of making a comeback last weekend largely due to the star studded film, the Coen brothers’ “Burn After Reading”. This film stars probably the two biggest movie stars in the world in the form of Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Not only do they have their stars, but they are surrounded by some high quality actors in Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, and J.K. Simmons to name a few. This film is very enjoyable and entertaining.

Get out your wallets and be prepared to spend your money on
“The Dark Knight”, more than once. The must see movie of the year arrived with
much fanfare and hype and it did not meet that level. No it very well exceeded
these expectations and more. “The Dark Knight” set multiple box office records
over it’s opening weekend. The film took in $158.3 million in the box office
over the opening weekend surpassing “Spider-Man 3” which previously had the
biggest opening weekend all-time with $151.1 million. “The Dark Knight” has
everything you want in a movie: action, drama, comedy, suspense, and even
romance. This is a “can’t miss in theaters” type of movie.

Do you remember the last movie that moved you? So much, to the point that you told everyone you knew, “You have to see this film!” In a time where poignant storytelling has taken a backseat to the big Hollywood Blockbuster, stands a little movie that challenges the heart in a big way. This movie is called Bella. It doesn’t have spectacular effects, jaw-dropping cinematography, or dialogue and visuals that go for shock value. Instead, it offers a message of love, hope, and redemption with a healthy dose of simple truths and old-fashioned family values.
