Treat your Body Right! - Part 2 of 2

ImagePart 2 of 2

The human body is a sensitive detector to traces of bad and good compounds. The challenge is to eat right for any situation that calls for it. Our body reacts differently from every intake so eating certain complexes can help fuel an energizing new you.  Help yourself this new year and look forward to the secrets of health benefits.

Traveling
Recommendations: low-calorie meals
Try: Pre-packed greens tossed with carrots, celeries, walnuts, strawberries and chicken has fewer calories and subsides hunger for long rides on the road or plane. Sitting doesn’t require many calories, so you don’t need to eat a big meal. Instead, a healthy and light snack will keep you away from unhealthy and high-fat fast foods.

Alertness and Enthusiasm
Recommendations: Lean protein and whole grains, caffeine
Try: Egg-white spinach omelet, whole-wheat bagel with low-fat cream cheese and coffee
“Tyrosine is an amino acid that helps improve mental acuity, and whole grains have glucose that have been shown to energize the human body,” says nutritionist Samantha Heller, MS, RD. Caffeine can improve short-term memory, but does wear off after an hour.

People Person
Recommendations: High-protein, low fat meal is a perfect combination in balancing concentration when speaking to an audience. Again, amino acids have the ability to trigger alertness while promoting learning abilities.
Try: Tofu, salmon, chicken with an array of vegetables can easily help you stay balanced throughout the day. Overdoing green fiber can make you feel bloated so be wary of the amount you eat.
