David Yi is one of the many talented Korean American Christian Hip Hop Dance Choreographers in the Hip Hop Dance Industry. He is a Co-Captian of a well known dance organization called Team Millennia of Fullerton, CA . This organization has competed in events such as UC Irvine VIBE Dance Competition, Fusion, and recently led his team to The World of Dance Tour 2009 in Pomona Fairplex.

3. Who influences your style of dance? Too many to name... Jed Florano, Jun Quemado, Toybox, Dumbo, Keone Madrid, Shaun Evaristo, Ben Chung

4. What is the process of creating a choreography to a song? Lots of freestyling, picking out beats or words to the song that you want to emphasize and making moves that are readable to an audience.

5. Where do you get your inspiration? Everything! God, all creation, anime, old competition shows (circa 2005!), You Tube.

6. How does your dancing tie into your faith with God? It's my gift and my talent, and hopefully in the future the Christian community will be more active in the dance community. Some people have the gift of preaching, playing the guitar, singing... mine is dancing.

7. What songs are on repeat in your music player?  Surprisingly, I don't listen to hip hop very much outside of dancing. I'm currently listening to a lot of alternative rock like Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer, James Morrison.

8. Have you ever thought about trying out for America's Best Dance Crew? Yes, possibly for next season

9. Items in your closet:  Lots of Kidrobot shirts, random t-shirts, TM Gear, dunks, air maxes, cheap jeans.

11.Hobbies: Dancing, graphic design, karaoke, eating~~~!!!

12. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Settled down with a career and family, doesn't necessarily have to be dancing. I enjoy teaching, so being a math teacher or coaching a junior hip hop team for a living would be nice.
