Firefighter Aaron Frisch and his wife Jackie, who though suffering from a debilitating illness, shared their 1800 square foot with their twelve children in Toledo, Ohio. The Frisch couple knew that God wanted them to house many children, but they prayed that God would also provide the space to accommodate the family. A former member of the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia has given up his "gangsta rap” for Jesus Christ. Delmar "Mr. Del" Lawrence said that after hearing God speak to him at a church service he attended when he visited home, he decided to “give [his] life to God right then and there.” Lawrence, who was once part of a group that was known for their “profane lyrics,” is now the head of his own record label, Dedicated Music Group, which is now a partner with Universal Music. A book on Intelligent Design has made Amazon’s bestsellers list of 2009. The book, titled, Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design takes a step further to disrepute evolution by using an additional component: DNA. Author Stephen Meyer explains that the digital code imbedded in DNA not only proves intelligent design with a realistic scientific method that scientists cannot deny. Supporters of gay marriage in Maine are seeking to get churches their tax-exemption revoked. Many of the state’s gay marriage proponents found that the church played a large role in encouraging voters to repeal a state law that had legalized gay marriage. The question of whether or not sex education is beneficial for young people has become a main issue as a study has shown an increase in STD infections among young people. Proponents of abstinence-only education argue that information on STDs can be misleading because young people are unaware of all the health risks involved. In Washington DC, pastors have been gathering in front of the Justice Department to protest what they believe to be a direct threat to their rights of preaching the Gospel. The new hate crimes law is feared to lead to the censorship of those topics in church. Pastors express that their preaching does not invoke violence in any way. After having delayed the freeing of two female Iranian Christian converts, Iran released the women on Wednesday, November 18. The delay came due to some “legal procedures.” In October, the judge dropped the original anti-state charges against the two women, but kept the charges of “propagation of Christianity and apostasy,” challenging them of their faith. The women, however, kept to their faith despite increasing health and mental problems since their arrest in March. Original article.

Jonathan Acuff, the writer of the humorous Christian blog, stuffchristianslike.net was astonished at the amount of support his followers showed when he asked for monetary support for a kindergarten in Vietnam. The blog followers donated $30,000 within 18 hours of the posting on his blog, Facebook, and Twitter. The kindergarten will be built through the charity, Samaritan’s Purse and will provide for over 200 children. Original article.
