An escape artist turned evangelist named Martin, 44, will make attempts at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Richland, Missouri, on November 2 & 3, to escape from a 350-pound locked safe. He will be handcuffed inside with no knowledge of the combination. A Christian since childhood, Martin has been using his talents to evangelize and promote his Christian beliefs for the past 12 years. // Calif. Megachurch Enters Bankruptcy amid Lawsuits
On Monday, October 18, a renowned Southern California mega church filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy because of pending lawsuits by creditors due to the production of the 2009 “Glory of Christmas”. The church had been facing three lawsuits for more than $2 million in debts it owned to vendors. The church hopes to work with the Creditors Committee to finalize a payment plan that will help them emerge from Chapter 11 as quickly as possible. Original article.

The city of Manchester in Kentucky was once known for its high record of drug abuse-related deaths among its youth. Now, a documentary titled, “An Appalachian Dawn,” shows how God has transformed the town to be called the “City of Hope.” After uniting together in fullness, churches began a march through the city that would begin the renewing Manchester. The number of Americans who say they have no religious affiliation is increasing rapidly. Of individuals in their 20s, 25% to 30% say they have no religious affiliation. This number is around four times higher than in any previous generation.
