Alongside recording artist, Lady Gaga, a group of French nuns will be signed onto Universal’s Decca Records. Reverend Mother Abbess noted that the church, let alone the women, did not seek out fame, but through prayer, they were given a response in the form of a recording contract. Bestselling author Anne Rice, known for her Christian themed novels, officially left the Roman Catholic Church. She explains, “I quit being a Christian. I'm out. I remain committed to Christ as always but not to being 'Christian' or to being part of Christianity.” For years, the writer has been very public about her religious history and says that she now has a "new freedom to confess [her] fears, [her] doubts, [her] pain, [her] conflicts, [her] alienation.” Original article.

// Knights of Columbus partners with Medishare to provide physical therapy and prosthetic limbs
Knights of Columbus announced a new program, “Hope for Haiti’s Children” that will provide assistance to every Haitian child who lost a limb due to the earthquake that took place in January. Thousands were seriously injured due to the earthquake, including hundreds of children. So far, they have provided more than 1,000 wheelchairs to those injured and plan on giving three prosthetics and physical therapy to each child for over the course of two years. Original article.

These online missionaries are educated and trained to share their faith with people from all over the world. // Why the Proposition 8 Decision Matters
California’s Proposition 8 was overturned this week by a decision made by US District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, claiming that the proposition is unconstitutional. Writer Albert Mohler comments that this decision has major implications beyond declaring victory for same-sex couples and proponents of same-sex marriage.
