Fish On The Other Side (FOTOS) is a ministry that seeks to heal the rift between gays and evangelical Christians. Founder of FOTOS, Bill Henson, was convicted of his homosexuality as sin while in a gay relationship. His hope is to welcome gays into the church community without the condition of changing them. Although met with criticism, supporter Alan Chambers says, “God doesn't want someone's homosexuality, He wants their heart, and when He has their heart, He can do anything with them." Two weeks after being saved by a Supreme Court ruling, the cross at the Mojave Desert War Memorial has been stolen. Late Sunday night, vandals destroyed, ripped down, and carried the cross that had stood since 1934 as a memorial to fallen veterans of foreign wars. Under a court order, it was to have been torn down, but the Supreme Court recently saved it. There is a $25,000 reward for any information. Original article.

The reasoning behind this demand was simply that some Mexican-American students felt disrespected by these boys’ gestures. // Evangelicals Call for Earned Citizenship for Immigrants, Not Amnesty
Evangelical leaders are calling for border control and immigration reform that would allow for undocumented people to receive earned citizenship and “come out of the shadows.” The three paths they would take are: earned legal citizenship or legal residency, legal guest-worker status, or deportation if found to be a felon. The leaders explain neither amnesty nor mass deportation is a solution, but rather an earned pathway to citizenship would be just and fair. Original article.
