Eddo Kim has three degrees from some of the most prestigious universities in the country. John Suh was on the fast track to success in the finance industry. Shawn Lee was a restless college grad pondering what to do with his life when a missions trip changed his life. These young Korean Americans are the force behind The Supply, a non-profit organization that provides education to slum children in places like Lenana in Kenya. According to statistics, Del Augusta would never have made it. He lost his mother when he was four years old. His father left. He was emotionally, physically and sexually abused growing up. He was diagnosed with clinical depression and attempted suicide twice. Even while he served in church, he led a double life being bound to sex, prostitution and homosexuality. But today, Del is a pastor who lives a victorious life. He travels and speaks all over the world but his heart is with the poorest of the poor. The Medical Missions Field |

Dr. Daniel Hoh is an emergency room doctor at Cedar's Sinai in Los
Angeles, seeing patients whose medical needs range from flu symptoms to
traumatic injuries. He also regularly serves on medical missions trips
to third world countries such as Sierra Leone and Cambodia, where there
are a scarcity of doctors, medicine, and other supplies. In this
episode of "Upper Room," Dr. Hoh shares his experiences serving on
medical missions trips.

Rescued from Dog Meat Farms and Puppy Mills |

Stephanie Jeong founded Happy Angels Dog Rescue to rescue small-breed
dogs from South Korea. Some of the dogs are rescued from dog-meat farms
where they are raised in deplorable conditions and then killed for
their meat. Others are rescued from puppy mills, high-kill shelters or
the streets. Stephanie finds "foster homes" for these dogs until they
can find permanent homes. Prospective adopters must undergo a thorough
application process before they are matched with a dog that best fits
their household. Kimberly Mackie adopted two dogs from Happy Angels Dog
Rescue. One of them is Lucy, a one-eyed Maltese who had been kept in a
cage to breed puppies over and over before getting rescued. Watch this
