In Part 1 of her interview on "Upper Room," Laurie Ishii shares how her heroin addiction led to prostitution and numerous suicide attempts. She hit rock bottom when she found herself homeless on LA's Skid Row. That's when she heard God say, "you will die out here anonymously as a junkie if you don't turn around and serve Me." Her road to recovery and transformation is nothing short of a miracle. Now Laurie and her husband, Daryl Bargy, run After Hours Ministry to reach out to pimps and prostitutes all over Southern California.
