The Junky Car Club Rally was a huge success this past Saturday in Orange County as many showed up to learn more about the reality of mobile homelessness and participate in making a tangible difference. Participants also heard a powerful story about our houseless friend Kathleen who currently lives in a van with her 8 month old son (Click here for a previous blog entry about her life.). Kathleen is a regular at our local Laundry Love Project and has become a good friend in recent months.
In preparation for the rally, I put together a simple list of ideas for people desiring to do something about mobile homelessness. Check out the following ideas to address this particular issue:
